Jenny Fleming, PE, VHB Raleigh Operations Lead and Mid-Atlantic Water Resources Director, has been appointed to serve a two-year term on the American Council of Engineering Companies North Carolina (ACEC/NC) chapter Board of Directors. Jenny will leverage her nearly three decades of experience spanning both the public and private sectors to support the organization’s mission of promoting the business interest of engineer companies by providing legislative advocacy and business services.
Jenny’s strong industry relationships through project management and consulting will significantly bolster ACEC/NC’s advocacy efforts through streamlined regulatory processes, improved funding mechanisms, and comprehensive infrastructure planning. At VHB, Jenny has led Regional Watershed Plans, drainage design for major infrastructure projects, and serves as a trusted advisor to NCDOT and the North Carolina Turnpike Authority. Her leadership will enhance innovation, sustainability, and quality within the industry.
“I’m looking forward to representing member firms and advocating on their behalf with our state regulatory agencies, legislators, and North Carolina Department of Transportation,” said Jenny. “We are developing the next ACEC/NC Strategic Plan which will chart our future course of advocacy, shape educational programs, and define what contributions we can make to enhance engineering across the state.”
