VHB Names Pete Pavao as Orlando Operations Manager

Pete will elevate client relationships & position VHB for growth.

VHB is pleased to announce that Pete Pavao, PE, PTOE, has been named VHB Orlando Operations Manager. Formerly a key transportation leader in the Providence office, Pete brings over 18 years at VHB elevating client service and program management of complex, high-impact initiatives. In this new role, Pete will support the business and financial goals of the office, manage key client relationships, and help optimize project performance and delivery.

Pete’s operational experience includes managing integrated teams and building strong partnerships that drive community improvement and organizational growth in both the public and private sector. He most recently served as Transportation Market Lead at VHB Rhode Island where he was a trusted advisor to Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) as Program Manager for design and planning on-call consultant services, including bridge, traffic, safety and highway design and USDOT grant development. Pete led the pursuit of complex projects such as Pell Bridge Approaches, Louisquisset Pike Bridge, and the I-95/Route 10 Corridor. He helped build RIDOT’s Safety Practice, leading four consecutive safety on-call contracts over the past 15 years and partnering  with RIDOT to implement their highly successful Highway Safety Improvement Program to reduce fatalities and serious injuries, which included Curve Departure Mitigation, Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian, and Wrong Way Driving Mitigation.

Pete received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island in Civil Engineering.
